How to cure pimples and black heads (100% scientifically proved)

Introduction

Acne is the very common problem among teenagers. Generally, acne starts in puberty, more common in boys than girls and ends up at the age of 20. But there are also some cases in which this problem remains with them even crossing the age of 30. And this can become the most embarrassing thing in the life of teenagers. Acne can make them more worried about their appearance due to this and they find difficulty in making a boyfriend/girlfriend. In this situation they want supportive friends and family who can boost their mood and never remind him/her about the acne issue.

And there are a lot of things to do to cure this issue. The main thing required is to be patient

What Is Acne?

Acne is a type of skin disorder that affects the hair follicles and skin's oil glands. Acne can cause blackheads, whiteheads, pimples. It mostly seems on the face, shoulders, forehead and back. As we know it is common among teenagers but a person of any age always has a risk of facing the acne issue. This is not a serious problem but can leave scars on the face. (1) (2) (3)

How Acne Developed On The Skin?

Acne is developed when oily substance (called sebum has a role to lubricate the skin and hair) and dead skin cells plugs hair follicles. The bacteria in the plug causes swelling and a pimple grows when a plug starts breakdown. Bacteria also causes infection which leads to more acne. (4) (5)

What Are The Causes Of Acne?

During puberty, the changes occur with the body are regulated by the hormone named androgen which is a male sex hormone and androgen also regulates the hormones in the female body. One of the things it does in puberty, it increases the production of oil in the body.

The oil named is sebum which is produced in the sebaceous glands. Whenever dead skin cells on the body block the pore of sebum, then it starts building up in the sebaceous gland and blackheads and whiteheads develop. If this gets inflamed then it converts its form into a pimple. Our body has more oil glands in the area of shoulders, face, chest, forehead and back.

The production of sebum reduces at the age of 20. And the acne issue automatically comes to its end.

But there are also some teenagers who have no acne issue in their life. Therefore it is believed that there are also some other factors which play an important role in this regard, such as genetic factors and the immune system. (6)

Effects Of Acne

Acne sometimes leaves scars on the face. Acne causes wound in the deeper layer of the skin. When these wounds get heel, they leave some scars. If scars are small and flat then they are hardly noticeable but if they are big then they are easily noticeable. (7)

How To Prevent Acne?

There are some methods which can reduce acne on the face :
  • washing your face can remove the excess oil from your face and also removes the dead skin cells from the face which let pores open but washing too much face can leads to irritation
  • make sure about the washing of the face as soon as possible after doing exercise or any other work that causes sweating because sweat can be the reason of clogging pores
  • use those makeups, if you use, that can't clog pores
  • if you use gel or any kind of hair spray then use it carefully so that it keeps away from your face because of many hair products have oil that can clog pores make acne worse

Risk Factors Or Some Myths About Acne

The exact reason behind the acne issue is still not clear. There is just a guess that in teenage and during pregnancy, there are a lot of hormonal changes in the body. So hormone changes might be the reason behind this.

People often target chocolate, food rich in carbohydrates and greasy food for acne development but there is not sufficient evidence for showing that food plays a vital role in the acne problem.

Another myth is this, dirt and dirty skin causes acne but this is not true. Pimples, blackheads and whiteheads are not caused by dirt.

One more myth is this, stress can't cause acne but can make this situation worse.

Cosmetics can't play a significant role if you are using non-oily makeup or removing your makeup everyday.

There is not a solid scientific proof that smoking plays a role in acne but avoiding smoking can give you the upper hand in preventing the acne problem.

What Are The Factors That Worsen The Acne?

There are not clear scientific evidences regarding this but you can get the upper hand by avoiding them such as :
  • chocolates and oily foods
  • stress
  • as we have already discussed, smoking
  • not staying hygiene
  • certain meds that contain corticosteroids, testosterone or lithium.
  • anything that can irritates your skin
What Are The Acne Mistakes?

There are some mistakes that people often do in this problem such as :
  • picking or squeezing pimples can make it worse. Because this increases the chance of spreading infections.
  • touching your face frequently can also contributes in the spreading of infections
  • don't let your skin rough because this can cause irritation. You should wash your face 1 or 2 times a day. If you wash face more than 2 times a day then this will be the reason of rough face and can take away the glow of face.
  • stay away from face masks (face packs)
